Ocean Census

In November 2023, I joined the Ocean Census team for a 21-day expedition in Tenerife as part of the Macaronesia Submersible and Diver Expedition. My role focused on capturing the expedition through photography, documenting both the research process and the incredible marine biodiversity of the region. Working alongside a coalition of world-class marine scientists and using advanced technology like the Pisces VI submersible, I had the opportunity to photograph marine life down to 300 metres in depth and along Tenerife’s volcanic coastline. These images were used to highlight the richness of the Macaronesia region and support the expedition’s mission of species discovery and ocean conservation.
